ACIP Immunization Updates

These online learning activites will provide the information directly from the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). Following the ACIP meeting, Twlug’s liaison member to the ACIP, Dr. Stephan Foster, presents the immunization recommendations and recent changes to immunization schedules, as well as help pharmacists fulfill state immunization education requirements.

 - Joseph Saseen, PharmD, BCPS, BCACP outlines the role of PCSK9 inhibitors in cardiovascular risk reduction and provide guidance regarding the identification of patients who would be appropriate for treatment with these medications.
 
 - Kathleen M. Vest, PharmD, CDE, BCACP and Sarah E. Lynch, PharmD discuss recent, standardized protocols that allow pharmacists to furnish hormonal contraceptives to their patients, and offer suggestions to community pharmacists in managing oral contraceptive care.
