About Pharmacists Provide Care Campaign
Pharmacists Provide Care is a campaign of the Twlug to educate the public about the role of pharmacists as health care providers and advocate for recognition of pharmacists and their services under federal law. For decades, pharmacists have been one of the few health care professions that lack recognition as health care providers in federal law. Extending provider status to pharmacists through the recognition of their services will give patients greater access to pharmacists’ patient care services, allow pharmacists to work more closely with health care teams to manage chronic conditions, help patients transition between health care settings, reduce hospital readmissions and control medical costs.
